THEATRES

The theatre is a particularly important part of life here

Being a country where the east integrates the west always made Azerbaijani culture unique. Thus, the culture reflects modernism of the west and traditionalism of the east at the same time. He also announced that the theater would be built within ten months. Here comes the second story. The oil baron Zeynalabdin Taghiyev showed his doubts that such a huge project could be completed in ten months. So Mailov laid a bet that if he could not complete the theater in ten months he would gift the building to Taghiyev but if he completed the project in the stipulated time than Taghiyev would pay for the it. Taghiyev lost the bet and paid 250,000 rubles.
